Walking Around Oakland

Last Sunday we were walking around sunny downtown Oakland, California, before my friend C. Ryder Cooley’s most excellent Animalia performance. I came across this storefront installation of plants growing in used nylons. Genius.
Plants don’t ever care if they have a run in their stockings.

While strolling down Telegraph Avenue we also came across this illuminating signage; personally I have never been a huge fan of fences either.
Stories of Collapse, Calamity & Departure
Cooley and friends will be performing Animalia one last time at the Lab in San Francisco on Thursday, July 16th at 8pm. The event is part of the annual Mission Creek Music and Arts Festival.
