This November Washington state voters will decide if they want marijuana to be regulated, taxed and made legal for adult use. The majority of people in the United States are now in favor of controlled legal cannabis, and the proposed measure, Initiative 502, has already garnered a great deal of public support across the state.
The marijuana legalization advocacy group, New Approach Washington, has been working to educate the populace why legalizing and regulating marijuana makes both economic and practical sense for the region. The organization is now promoting the cannabis reform measure with a million dollar ad campaign. Their first television commercial features a middle class looking mom who does not use pot, but raises some sensible questions about why we should discuss the many benefits of legalizing weed.
