Senator Bernie Sanders Speaks Truth to Power

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) really gives me hope, and is one of the few elected officials who actually speaks the truth about what is happening in this country. Sanders, a stalwart defender of working families and self-described socialist, took to the Senate podium to systematically denounce the Obama/GOP tax “compromise”. The senator’s office described the historic speech as a “tax cut filibuster”. Sanders clearly explained his fervent opposition to the White House and Republican unsustainable tax cut deal which greatly benefits the increasingly wealthy plutocracy.
