Months later I found a small colony housed in a cardboard box on a high shelf.I watched and discovered they came out at night and worked the kitchen singly.I also noticed that there were absolutely NO cockroaches around ..though we had had a problem with these and found them difficult to exterminate absolutely.I remembered reading years ago about a certain species of ant which eat up cockroahes and their eggs...so decided to keep my little box of ants since they were no problem during the day and were doing a friendly job at night.
