Just take a look at the photos online of the dead turtles and fish already showing up on beaches in the gulf. Not to mention, as a resident of Southeastern Lousiana, I know several people who make their livings fishing in the gulf. They will be in deep trouble in the years ahead if this doesn't get fixed soon. Whether or not we need the increase in production, the spill has already had adverse effects on the environment of the gulf. Just take a look at the photos online of the dead turtles and fish already showing up on beaches in the gulf.
