Although technically, 'anti-biotic' means "against life", and thus a fungus, which is a living thing, qualifies as the target of an antibiotic (same general purpose is served by both), nonetheless, scientific convention has it that 'antibiotic' be used only in conjunction with bacterial infections and/or resistance, and, that 'antifungal' or 'fungicide' be used with respects to a fungus, or resistance in a fungus.
