Rhino fact 10: The white rhino is primarily a grazer, not a browser, and thus is the only species without a prehensile upper lip.
The white rhino is actually not white in color; the name is thought to be a result of mistaking the Afrikaans word “weit” (meaning “wide”) for “white.” The White Rhino is grey, although he or she often looks brown due to being covered in mud after wallowing.

Thanks for the info. They are fascinating animals. I did not realize they are fairly closely related to horses.
I read elsewhere that the record size for a white rhino was a specimen of 10,000 pounds!
