In order to protect the trees and shrubs from damage in area parks, thousands of rabbits are culled in Stockholm neighborhoods every year. Last year alone, nearly 6,000 rabbits were killed during the annual cull. The rabbits are shot by specially hired people armed with a “special rifle.” The rabbits are usually killed at the first crack of dawn, as they peek out of their rabbit holes.
The Stockholm Traffic Office is responsible for controlling rodents and wild animals within the city. Rabbits are not native to Sweden. Pet owners have reportedly released tame rabbits into parks, according to Traffic Office Tommy Tuvunger.
Last year, the 6,000 rabbit carcasses were frozen and incinerated. But this year, the culled rabbits are being disposed of in a different manner. After the carcasses are frozen, they are transported to a heating plant in Karlskoga. According to The Local, the dead rabbits are then burned and used as bioenergy, warming homes in Varmland,

Without sounding crass – how much energy is there in a frozen rabbit?
This is another example of food being used as fuel, and does give a glimpse into the minds of the “Authority” – possibly society. Just just how democratic an event is it ?
