You see, I am of the mind that the USA has traditionally done disservice to the cause of encouraging nations to sign the NPT and observe its provisions, so reaping a reward of international cooperation as a result of efforts to comply with the unequal delegation of responsibilities imposed by nuclear-armed powers. North Korea and Iran and sanctions all wrapped up in a bow, if you will. That is the Third Pillar of the NPT, if you care to search out a synopsis for reference. In that vein, here is an article explaining a viewpoint seldom heard in the din of fearmongering by nuclear armed countries towards those WITHOUT.
