Komodo dragon fact 2: It is believed that Komodo dragons kill their prey with a deadly bite full of 50 strains of bacteria – seven strains are septic and four strains have no known antidote. A recent study also suggests the bite could be venomous. Dragons follow their victims until the bacteria (or venom) takes effect, and then they eat – even if the animal is still alive.
