The Wiltshire Wildlife Sanctuary is offering a home to these traumatised and negleted cats – they have raised a fantastic amount so far but more is needed! Its a big undertaking and people from all around the world who care for wildlife (imprisoned) could help with just a few dollars or punds – please visit

I have been to the Romanian Zoos – the whole places are so cruel and run down that you can’t just save the Lions – all the animals need to be saved.

In my opinion, shooting the lot of them would be more humane.

I have heard lots of lions in Zoos in Romania are severely handicapped as their first few years of life are spent on the street with a man selling tourists photos of themselves with the lions… then when they get too big, they are donated to Zoos. Of course, during their first few years they are fed the completely wrong diet, and so do not form properly.

Focus your energies on what we can do to help these lions now. That is what is important and critical at this time. They need our love, support and cash donations to get them to a better life. Dont waste your time on the negative, embrace the positive and help make a difference

So Laura, you condemn the hole country for the mistakes a hand full of people that refuse to do the right thing! On the same bases, then then Americans should be punished for what Bush did, or the Iraqi for what Saddam did, or maybe we should blow the Russians because what Putin and Medvedev does…….I hope you get the it that not everyone that in that Good forsaking country full of racists people want thous lions dead! So I guess you will never visit my country? Pity….not all Romanians are racist, abusers, corrupt!
Either way, Thank you to all that will contribute to save that will life from that Zoo!))))))

Bucharest ?
If they can do even to the many kids there; what are
these animals to them ???

Incredible isn’t it? Romania has 2 billionaires and lots of millionaires living in Bucharest all refusing to help a public zoo. Instead, just like with their abandoned and disabled children and adults STILL warehoused in deplorable institutions, they’d prefer to let the foreigners use their money and kind citizens to assist them. Shame, shame on this country of racists and abusers and corrupt politicians and citizens! You’d think they would at least use some of the foreign aid money they’ve pocketed as a matter of civic pride to take care of such a public travesty. The institutionalized children are invisible and well-hidden, the animals any tourist can find.
