I found the bill and a great way to blast (like Jeanettee said) the support. OpenCongress.org lets you choose to support the Bear Protection Act of 2009 H.R.3480. Tell all your reps!!!

I have been tracking HR 3029 Bear Protection Act of 2007(?), but the last action was in 2007 referred to Subcommittee on Trade. Can I still refer to this bill number for House Of Rep session 2009? Does anyone know. Thanks.
It is hard to figure these bill out, but OpenCongress.org has some useful info.

Thank you very much for this article. I am hoping that the HSUS or Defenders of Wildlife will set up and publicize an easy online action.

I linked the story to a blog I did on the endangerment of biodiversity and will write directly to my congressional representative and senators.

So, is there a link to tell state legislators to support this? I posted it on facebook already, but some sort of link would be helpful to get the word out and public sentiment known. They just killed a “nuisance bear” around here this week, and someone almented that due to the tranquilizer in it, it was unfit to eat! GROSS!!!
