Local Atlanta Activists Organize Ride MARTA Day this Friday

It’s slightly short notice, I know, but this Friday is Ride MARTA Day here in Atlanta!

A group of local activists is working to help raise awareness about MARTA and speak out against the threatened service cuts. They hope folks will pull together this Friday to boost ridership, introduce new riders to the system, and get folks thinking about the MARTA crisis. It’s easy as pie to participate! Just hop on the bus or train to get to work or school this Friday! If you don’t use transit to commute already, you might just find out you dig it. Riding the train means not having to worry about insane Atlanta traffic. Buses can get caught in a jam just like cars, but you can just zone out and read your book until you get where you’re going. You get to avoid the road rage and arrive at your destination less stressed and without putting a dent in your gas tank.
