"WE" will never solve any of Africa's many dilemmas from "Over here". Our hegemonic notions about their problems only display or abounding ignorance of the true situations they have! For one thing, the scale of things African escape us, we are a very small country in comparison. Yes, Small! The U.S.A. is a resource -poor region of the world in similar comparison. We simply have no idea the situations faced there. Go talk to a recently returned missionary and spend time, and some money trying to understand him. You will soon discover huge gaps in your knowledge, huge assumptions taught us by our propaganda system, and even different definitions of the same English words - Yes we can help, no they don't need well meaning hegemony!

Most of us have at one time or other visited grandma's house to partake in her newly harvested tomatoes, or even freshly picked onions in the quaint back yard garden patch. You knew they were fresh because the garden soil had to be washed off those that were dug up.
