Is this the true dawning of the age of Aquarius? Is it related in any way to the Mayan calendar ending in 2012? Have we made it over the hump with the coming of Obama? Is he just the first of a long line of great intelligent and learned leaders to come? Did the U.S.S.R. fail as a harbinger of what is to become of Capitalist Exploitation and Corporate ruination in America? Will I live long enough to see true freedom? Can the Asians with their greater philosophies contribute to a happy mankind? Who will come again, Christ, Gandhi? Will the death of GM herald in riches for crafts and guild peoples, and ruination for greedy Capitalist coupon clippers? Can Americans ever learn to eat a more appropriate amount of meat, and stop killing other nations? Will the North American male ever learn to re-direct his testosterone drives back to natural directions, or will he forever be slave to his current cult? Will the democracy of our forefathers rid itself of its cancerous capitalism, and let its people live truly free? Is this really the dawning of the age of Aquarius?

This is another great example of how saving the planet can create jobs in the process. Between alternative energy and recycling we can build a prosperous and sustainable world that provides full employment.

However, it must also be said that great strides must still be made with regards to reducing the amount of trash that is generated in the first place. While recycling a thousand plastic bottles is better than tossing them into a landfill, a better solution is to cut the volume in half to begin with.

[...] California Community Re-defines Recycling and Wins : EcoLocalizer Also remarkable is their recent offering of curbside composting, where you can mix food scraps and organic material in with your yard waste bin and they offer discounted compost bins on their website, if you’d rather do it yourself.
