Wow, here’s one recycling program I never imagined before: recycling sex toys.
That’s just what one Florida-based company, Dreamscapes, located in Wesley Chapel, is doing. The seller of sex toys, videos, books and other sex-related products has launched a company-wide “Commitment to Green.” The initiative involves not only eco-friendly office lighting and paper and battery recycling, but a “Recycle Your Sex Toy” program.
Here’s how it works:
You wash the old or broken toy with soap and water, seal it in a Ziploc bag, then mail it to Dreamscapes, who then sends you back a $10 gift certificate for its VibratorShopping.com site. Dreamscapes then cleans all the toys again, disassembles them and sends the various materials (batteries too) to specialty recyclers who can use them for making everything from playground mulch to park benches.
Dreamscapes also offers an online guide with other tips for going green, and is exploring ways to take in used sex toys from the adult film industry (“many of which are used only once”) for recycling as well.
As company CEO David Kowalsky told Rolling Stone magazine, “I know our industry is taboo, but we want to save the environment too.”

This site is much better for recycling sex toys, they give you $10 back for every toy, and they are a full facility not some guys basement (that’s creepy). They are also working with Doc Johnson (Impressive). You can read about it at Recycle Your Sex Toys
