Amazon.com has launched a new initiative aimed at combating Wrap Rage. In their effort to simplify packaging for the consumer, they’re also helping to reduce wasteful over-packaging. Details after the jump!

Don’t worry, they aren’t pitching the original packaging to re-wrap products in easy-to-open boxes. Amazon is teaming up with manufacturers, starting with 19 of their best-sellers from Fischer-Price. Rather than the traditional cardboard and plastic box stuffed into an even bigger box, the Frustration-Free initiative puts products directly into a package that can stand up to shipping.

How many times have you received a teeny product in a gigantic box full of packing peanuts? Amazon has also developed a software program that determines the proper box size that a product requires. The boxes are 100% recyclable and made from 43% recycled content. You can read more about Their green initiatives here!
