It's all come to fruition from the recent onslaught of end-of-the-world movies, where mankind brings about their end by damaging the world. We'll be around for many hundreds of years more. (Although our civilization is reaching the end of its long run - most great civilizations in history never lasted more than a few thousand years and we're coming due...) The Earth goes through constant weather changes from ice age to tropical paradise every few million years. We're currently in the process of transition into another change in environment and no amount of human interference will change that.
