Perhaps if re-usable bags could be used for more things, people would actually use them? Such as something I've discovered recently, Carebags. They were originally created as a way to buy, wash, and store veggies all with one bag, but can also be used for growing sprouts, straining broths, jellies, and jams, laundering fine washables, drying herbs, and so much more. I really do think this makes a difference, because it gives people a reason to think about their reusable bags more, so they'll be more likely to take them to the store.

I always use my Sam bags (Use It Again Sam) because they are so light and fold up into a small pouch that's actually sewn into the inside seam. I have one in my purse all the time, use them for everything. They come in great colors too....LOVE THEM!!!!!

Oh this is so true. Supermarkets are starting to remove the carrier bags so you have to re-use your bags and also promoting it by giving you points=money if you re-use them.
