Farmers Market Bike Rally to Celebrate Local Food Month in Atlanta

September is Local Food Month, and what better way to celebrate than checking out farmers markets around town? Three Atlanta markets have teamed up to help locals do just that, and to do so using sustainable transportation! On September 27th, this bike rally is gathering in Piedmont Park at the Green Market and touring several markets around town.
The event kicks off at Piedmont Park, heading north to the Morningside Farmers Market, Atlanta’s first all-organic farmers market. Next stop is the new Peachtree Road Farmers Market. The loop lands cyclists back at the Green Market in Piedmont Park for a local food picnic lunch and prizes for those who completed the 15-mile route. There are also planned refreshment stops along the way and a local band performing at the post-ride lunch!
