The referenced article is interesting and compelling, but what is generally needed is an organized forum to present a studied, viable alternative to such a project. Obviously Korean road systems would also be impacted by the kind of traffic needed to sustain trasportation levels. It begs questions about whether a rail system could be put in place to handle the hoped for benefits of the canal system? Is there a better alternative which would be more environmentally beneficial and economical in the long run for South Korea in terms of achieving the transportation goals? Thanks for this article.
