A Carbon-Neutral B&B Stay
Red Bud Manor, a Victorian bed-and-breakfast in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is offering a pretty neat special for the green-minded (and fuel-cost-conscious) traveler: the Carbon Neutral Package.
The package features a two-night stay in the room of your choice in Red Bud’s Colonial Revival home and breakfast each morning, along with a package of compact fluorescent lightbulbs to take with you at the end of your stay. You’ll also get trolley passes for two and — if you come driving a hybrid vehicle — a $20 discount off your bill.
For each Carbon Neutral Package, Red Bud also says it will make a donation to the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Oh, by the way, PBS’s America’s Walking program lists Eureka Springs as one of the most walkable medium/smaller-size towns in the U.S.
