Probably because people want electricity, but they don&#039;t want dirty coal powered plants, and they don&#039;t want nuclear either. China has had similar problems, with the daming of teh Yangtze river turning into an Environmental catastrophe.

If we are going to continue to grow our population, and improve standards of living across the world then we are probably going to have to accept more and more of these problems in the future. It&#039;s a pity, but...</description>
