Beverage Maker Unveils Green HQ

Glass bottle.Cott Corporation, a non-alcoholic beverage company, has opened a new “green” U.S. headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

The 60,000-square-foot facility, which marked its grand opening today, features energy-efficient lighting, carpeting that’s free of PVC and chlorine, and chairs made from 30 percent post-consumer recycled materials.

“In our endeavors to develop a new world-class corporate headquarters, the decision was made to implement as many ‘green’ products and practices as possible,” said Brent Willis, Cott’s CEO. “Special attention was paid to the selection of products and building materials to ensure reduced environmental impact.”

Cott is also working to produce more environmentally friendly beverage containers. The company’s brands include RC Cola, Jarritos, Red Rain and Orient Emporium teas.

  1. how did RC cola never make it into the top tier? I always liked it better than coke or pepsi…

  2. I love RC, and agree totally, Dave.

Do these folks bottle water… just wondering? There’s clearly an effort in this industry to “green” its image… though that’s, at the very least, a problematic proposition…
