Spiderman caught by police

London, UK

A man calling himself Spiderman has been arrested for apparently wasting police time.

He climbed 100m up the side of a building without the aid of any safety gear in a bid to raise awareness about climate change.

The report in The Times newspaper states that Alain Robert, a 45 year old French man, wore a t-shirt promoting the website The Solution is Simple.

His website states – as the name would imply – that easy answers exist to combat global warming. They are:

1. Stop cutting down trees.

2. Make everything energy-efficient.

3. Only make clean energy.

To sum up what needs to be done so succinctly is as commendable as his actions were yesterday.

It’s a really well-constructed site giving plenty of facts in a clear-to-understand way and well worth a visit.

As I type this – it is not yet clear if he has been released from custody – having also been charged with criminal damage.

Could someone please explain what damage he was causing?

It isnt about the damage he caused… its about the trouble the british police would be in if he had fallen to his death…
